Tinubu Support Group’(TSG), a pro-democracy group says it will persuade former Gov. Bola Tinubu of Lagos State to heed the calls of Nigerians to contest for President in 2023.

The Head Media of the group, Mr Tosin Adeyanju, said in a statement on Monday in Abuja, that the group would rally support for Tinubu Presidency as a gift for its 69th birthday anniversary.

Adeyanju disclosed that already the group had started rallying support for Tinubu in Kano State and other parts of the country.

He said the move was part of efforts of the group to drag the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) into the 2023 presidential race.

Adeyanju appealed to all stakeholders in Kano and other part of the country to work and make sure that Tinubu was elected as president of the country in 2023.

“Nigerians need a president that is devoid of sentiments in the area of religion, tribe and gender.

“We are calling on members and the leadership of the APC to look towards the direction of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari in 2023.

“Some of Tinubu’s great achievements include the ability to mentor people across-the-board, his tolerance, peaceful nature, experience, fairness, public and economic development skills and his love for his nation,” he said.

Adeyanju called on political players from the Northern and Southern parts of the country to support the vision of Tinubu to move the country forward.

He commended Gov. Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State’s decision to host the annual Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Colloquium in Kano.
