Gov. Simon Lalong of Plateau has lauded the management of the Industrial Training Fund (ITF) for its human capacity building, which has impacted positively on the country’s economy.

Lalong lauded the Fund on Tuesday in Jos, while receiving members of the House of Representatives Committee on Industry led by its Chairman, Dr Enitan Badru, accompanied by ITF’s Director-General, Joseph Ari.

The governor, represented by his deputy, Prof. Sonni Tyoden, said that the Fund had made a difference in youth empowerment and human capacity building in terms of training in various skills.

According to him, the ITF has thought out of the box and introduced measures to prepare the country for the years after oil.

Lalong also commended the committee on industry for playing a critical role in enhancing development.

He urged the committee to come out with credible recommendations after its oversight function in the state.

Earlier, Badru thanked the governor for his continuous support to the Fund.
