Secuirity: Reflect on the ethos of Eid-el-Kabir – Minister



The Minister of Police Affairs, Alhaji Muhammad Dingyadi, has called on Nigerians to reflect on the ethos of Eid-el-Kabir celebration for greater internal security in the country.

Mr Osaigbovo Ehisienmen, the Press Secretary to the minister disclosed this in a statement on Monday in Abuja.

Dingyadi felicitates with Nigerians on the occasion of the 2021 Eid-el Kabir celebration while emphasising the centrality of security, to the actualization of collective and individual aspirations.

He expressed the need for citizens’ ownership of security endeavours, adding that the place of sacrifice exemplified in Eid-el-Kabir celebration could not be over emphasised in the quest to build a secure Nigeria.

The Minister commended Nigerians for their resilience and support for the Nigeria Police and other security forces in their onerous task of protecting the country.

Dingyadi used the occasion of the celebration to also reassure Nigerians and members of the international community of government’s renewed commitment to modernise the nation’s security framework.

He said this would be done by deepening security sector reforms, and installation of proactive security enablers to drive intelligence and technological advanced policing in Nigeria.
