NPA expects 22 ships with petroleum products, others at Lagos ports

33 ships carrying various products expected at Lagos ports- NPA

The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) says it is expecting 22 ships laden with petroleum products, food items and other goods at the Lagos ports from Aug. 24 to Sept. 4.

The NPA made this known in its publication, ‘Shipping Position’, a copy of which was made available to our reporter in Lagos on Tuesday.

The authority stated that the ships also contained bulk malt, bulk sugar, container, bulk gypsum, bulk soya bean, bulk wheat, bulk coal, soda ash and frozen fish.

It also stated that 23 ships were discharging bulk wheat, general cargo, container, bulk sugar, butane gas, bulk fertilizer, bulk gypsum, fuel, soya bean, automobile gasoline, jet fuel and sugar.

The authority added that ten other ships had arrived, waiting to berth with general cargo, base oil, bulk gypsum, pipes, bulk wheat and petrol.
