A Senior Magistrates’ Court in Kano, on Tuesday, ordered that a 45-year-old man, Auwalu Adam, be remanded in a correctional facility for allegedly stabbing a man to death.

The police charged Adam, who resides in Yanjaji Quarters, Jigawa State with armed robbery and culpable homicide.

Senior Magistrate, Aisha Muhammad-Yahaya, ordered the police to return the case file to the Kano State Director of Public Prosecution for legal advice.

She adjourned the matter until Nov.1 for mention.

Earlier, the Prosecution Counsel, M. A. Abdulrahman, told the court that Adam committed the offence on July 31, at Gamoji Village Gaya Local Government Area of Kano State.

He alleged that Adam stabbed Sale Barau and stole his motorcycle worth N170,000.
