2023: APC urges unity of membets in Adamawa
The newly elected Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa, Alhaji Ibrahim Bilal, has urged members and supporters of the party to be united to reclaim the governorship seat in the 2023 general elections.
Bilal made the appeal while addressing party members in Ganye town, headquarters of Ganye Local Government Area, on Tuesday.
According to him, they are in Ganye as part of the statewide thank you visit to the party’s delegates for their democratic role displayed at the recent state Congress.
He commended the general conduct of the delegates during the congress, noting that the conduct of the congress is a sign for success come 2023.
“Today, the newly elected state executives of the APC are in Ganye town for thank you visit to our democratic heroes (delegates) for their democratic role played in the recent party’s Congress in the state.
“The role played by the delegates in electing the state new executives shows their political maturity and advancement.
“Therefore, we must unite as a family to reclaim our stolen mandate in the state come 2023 general elections,” Bilal said.
Alhaji Abdullahi Mohammed, the Publicity Secretary of the party, said that APC has great chance of defeating PDP and reclaim its governorship seat by 2023.
Mohammed said that lack of unity among the party members and supporters caused the party lost the state governorship seat in 2019.
“It is now time we unite and reclaim our governorship mandate in the state, because we are all witnesses PDP won Adamawa state governorship as a result of APC protest votes.
“We have seen where the protest votes had taken us to, because Adamawa is a APC state and we have a great chance of winning the election of we come together,” Mohammed said.
Responding on behalf of the party chairmen in Adamawa South Senatorial, Alhaji Adamu Gombe, and Malam Usman Adamu from Ganye and Toungo Local Government Areas, respectively, commended the state party chairman for his foresight and inclusive leadership style.
