NYSC to hold corps employers workshop – Official

The National Youth Service Corp (NYSC), says it has concluded arrangements to hold the 2021 Management and Corps Employers workshop across the 36 states and the FCT.

Mr Aliyu Suleiman, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the scheme in Bauchi State, made this known in an interview with our correspondent on Friday in Bauchi.

According to him, the Director General of the scheme, Brig.-Gen. Shuaibu Ibrahim had approved the commencement of the exercise to be held simultaneously across the country.

Suleiman said the workshop was designed to expose corps employers about the welfare of corps members, strengthen the relationship between them and corps members as well as discuss the roles expected of corps members.

The workshop with the theme: “Optimising the NYSC/Corps Employers Partnership for National Development in the Context of the New Normal,” would hold from Nov. 17 to Nov. 18, 2021.

“The Workshop will be in two phases; first phase for the states and FCT on Nov. 17, and the second phase is to hold on Nov. 18 for zonal offices,” he said.

According to him, the zonal workshop for Bauchi State would be conducted at Tafawa-Balewa, Misau and Katagum Local Government Areas of the state.
