Gov. Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State will, on Saturday, be honoured with Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) Distinguished Great Ife Alumnus award.

This is contained in a statement issued by Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr Richard Olatunde, on Friday in Akure.

The statement said that the governor was among the 60 graduates of the institution to be honoured with the award of excellence, as part of activities marking its 60th anniversary.

“The conferment of the award is in a letter personally signed by the Vice Chancellor of the institution, Prof. Eyitope Ogunbodede, and addressed to Gov. Akeredolu.”

“The award of excellence for very passionate, supportive and dedicated Great Ife ambassadors who have contributed over the past 60 years is to further show the university management’s appreciation,” it said.
