NGOs hold expo for young Nigerian entrepreneurs in Lagos
A coalition of five NGOs will on Wednesday hold a one-day exhibition and symposium for micro, small and medium enterprises to showcase the potentials of young Nigerian entrepreneurs.
Our correspondent reports that the expo, powered by GIZ, a German empowerment outfit in partnership with Federal Government, will hold at Blue Roof Hall of the Lagos Television premises, Agidingbin Ikeja, Lagos.
Mr Tobi Durojaiye, Spokesman for the NGOs, said on Tuesday at a roundtable ahead of the exhibition that the event was put together to expose, connect and showcase the products of the young entrepreneurs.
He said that the empowered youths, who had successfully undergone various trainings, would be given them access to financial and strategic opportunities.
Also speaking, Mrs Bose Aggrey, Executive Director of Web of Hearts, an NGO that focuses on irregular migrants, said that her organisation had been able to train and empower over 1000 people.
She said that these are those who have been repositioned under this GOPA implemented initiative.
Aggrey, added that the MSME symposium and exhibition would re-emphasise the fact that locally made products by Nigerians can rule the market.
She urged Lagos residents to visit the one-day exhibition which will also have government and corporate personalities in the MSME industry in attendance.
Aggrey added that interested youths can also register for the GIZ empowerment initiative to train thousands of young Nigerians in 2022.
