Dimka empowers constituents with tricycles, grinding machines,others

Sen. Hezekiah Dimka (APC Plateau Central) says he has distributed tricycles, motorcycles, grinding machines, water pumping machines, sewing machines, and knapsack sprayers to his constituents.

Dimka, in a statement by his media aide, Katdapba Gobum, and made available to our correspondent on Thursday in Jos, said that the items totaling 500, was part of his efforts to empower the people to make them self-reliant.

He said that before giving the beneficiaries the items, they were trained on how to manage them for their small scale businesses.

“We have also trained and provided grants to 300 youths and women on livestock, potato, maize, tomato and rice production.”

“Training and provision of a grant to 100 youths and women of Plateau Central in October 2021 on modern techniques of potato farming.”

“We organised sensitization workshop for 210 youths and women in Kanam, Kanke, and Mangu Local Government Areas against the menace of drug abuse,” he said.

Dimka, who acknowledged the importance of security for the people about their businesses, said that he had provided and installed solar lights in all the wards headquarters in Plateau Central.

He said that the initiative was to minimise and prevent security breaches by criminal elements at night.

The senator further stated that he provided 500KVA transformers for rural electrification in Kanke and Kanam local government areas.

He also said that he had requested for the bills of quantity to commence the parameter fencing of the Police Divisional Office in Kwal, Kanke Local Government Area of the state.
