Sule presents N109.8bn 2022 budget for Nasarawa
Gov. Abdullahi Sule on Thursday presented a N109.80 billion 2022 budget for Nasarawa State to the state House of Assembly for approval.
Presenting the budget tagged “Budget of Sustainable Transformation”, Sule said that it was made up of N70.89 billion recurrent expenditure, representing 64.56 per cent and N38.01 billion capital expenditure, representing 35.44 per cent.
“The sectorial breakdown of the budget include- Administrative sector, Government House- 8.94billion, Secretary to the State Government office- N9.40 billion, Legislative- N1.76 billion and pension and gratuity- N4.8 billion.
“Others are Works, Housing and Transport- 14.05billion, Environment- 1.64billion, Finance- N8.98billion, Health 11.85 billion among others,” he said.
The governor said that the education sector got the highest allocation with N31.83billion.
He assured of full implementation of the budget for the overall development of the state.
Sule said that his administration would continue to be guided by transparency, accountability and prudence management of resources.
Responding, the Speaker, Alhaji Ibrahim Balarabe-Abdullahi commended the governor for presenting the budget and assured him of speedy passage.
Our correspondent reports that Sule had on Nov.17, 2020 presented 2021 budget of N112.9 billion to the State House of Assembly for approval.
