1 escapes death in Osun auto crash

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Osun Command, says one person escaped death on Sunday in an accident that occurred along the Ilesa-Ipetu Expressway in the state .

A statement by the command’s spokesperson, Mrs Agnes Ogungbemi, in Osogbo, said the accident occurred at 8:40 a.m.

Ogungbemi said that a red Toyota Corolla with number plate: PP440HA, lost control due to speeding and its non-compliance with safety regulations.

According to her, the driver sustained severe injury after the vehicle somersaulted and crash landed.

“We have been able to clear all obstructions along the highway with the vehicle towed off the road for easy vehicular movement,” she said.

Ogungbemi advised motorists to desist from speeding and total disobedience to road traffic act.

She warned that the command would not hesitate to dealt with anyone found violating the road safety act, adding that such offender would be made to face the wrath of law.
