Ex-FCT CJ’s wife drags ex-NTI Boss to court for alleged malicious damage
Hajiya Zainab Bello, wife of the former Chief Judge of the High Court of the FCT has dragged the Former Director-General of National Teacher Institute (NTI), Dr Aminu Ladan-Sharehu before a Chief Magistrate Court in Zaria for alleged malicious damage.
Bello in the suit also dragged Abubakar Ladan for criminal conspiracy and mischief contrary to sections 59 and 313 of Kaduna State Laws 2017.
Testifying, Mr Ibrahim Abubakar , said on Jan 15, 2020 at about 3.30am his younger brother Lukman Abdullahi told him that some armed men invited by Sadiq Ladan were on the demolishing his sister’s house.
”I tried to stop the demolition but could not. I later visited the demolished house and later informed my sister who asked me to institute a formal complaint to the police,” he said.
Under cross-examination by Mr Friday Okeke, the defence counsel, the witness admitted that he did not disclose who owns the property to the people who caused the damage.
Insp. Nasir, therefore, applied for the witness to be discharge and he was accordingly discharged.
Similarly, another witness, Mr Lukman Abubakar said he was woken up by the sound of a roaring bill dozer on Jan. 11, 2020 around 4a.m.
After discharging the witness, the presiding Chief Magistrate, Mr Abubakar Lamido adjourned the matter until Feb. 22 and 24 for continuation of hearing.
