Ahmed Audi, Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), has promised to put an end to the illegal monthly salary deductions of some personnel of the Corps.

Audi, during the NSCDC Annual Cooperative Summit on Wednesday in Abuja, said he had received complaints by some personnel over the salary anomaly.

“My attention has been brought to some deductions in my staff salaries every month, please note that I am not comfortable with that information and whatever led to that must be addressed immediately.

“My staff welfare cannot be compromised under any guise because the era of monkey dey work, baboon dey chop is over,” he said.

He further said that the arbitrary deductions would be looked into as he promised to investigate the issues and circumstances leading to the alleged deductions.

The CG advised staff to continue to uphold the integrity of the Corps by desisting from any act capable of denting the image of the organisation.

“Acts such as accessing loan facilities from multiple banks.

“Henceforth, anyone who indulge in such act will be dealt with according to the provision of the public service rules,” he said.

The NSCDC boss charged the cooperative officials to tow the path of honesty and be prudent in the management of members funds by making transparency and accountability their watchword

Audi reiterated his commitment to staff welfare, saying that it remained one of his top priorities.
