LGC Media unveils IPTV technology in Lagos
Lagosian and Nigerians will play host to LGC Media limited as they unveil the Internet Protocol
Television (IPTV) Technology on June 28, 2022. This event will also witness the presentation of
Hol Greenfield Nigeria Limited to the public as LGC IPTV STB National dealer.
This historic event will take place at the event hall of Lagos Chambers of Commerce & Industry
CDM 10, Dr. Nurudeen Olowopopo Way Drive, Alausa Ikeja-Lagos. The event is expected to
attract Nigerians and foreigners from all works of life including media practitioners,
personalities in the entertainment industry and senior government officials to grace the
occasion.
Internet protocol television (IPTV) is a technology that brings over 1000 channels including live
sports, exciting sporting events and hottest movies. More than ever IPTV is becoming more
popular as users liberate themselves from the expensive limited deals offered by cable
providers.
IPTV has been very popular device in the western world and now coming to Nigeria
to gain its presence. LGC Media Limited has invested and built a heavy infrastructure to bring
this to the over 200millions Nigerians and it is her vision to have IPTV in every home and offices
in Nigeria.
IPTV Technology is a creation and Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) from Leadership and Governance Canada Inc. (LGC) in partnership with FNIK Media Inc. and some Nigerian investors.
“This is in response to the clarion call by President Muhammadu Buhari on Nigerians in the diaspora to support the economic initiative of the Federal Government by mobilizing FDI to the country”, LGC said.
The number of channels range from 50 to 5,000+ and are designed with the audience in mind in terms of variety of content, pricing, entertainment, installation and flexibility with a subscription.
