The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Osun Command, says it will deploy 50 officers for the grand finale of Osun-Osogbo festival on Friday.

The Command’s Head of Operations/Deputy Corps Commander(DCC), Mrs Medinat Akanbi, disclosed this in an interview with our on Thursday in Osogbo.

Akanbi said the corps had mapped out some strategic locations to ensure easy flow of traffic during and after the festival.

She stated that the command would work with other security agencies to forestall any eventuality, and protect lives and property.

Akanbi charged motorists to comply with the corps’ safety regulation standards, in order to avoid being sanctioned for wrongful driving.

She commended the behavioural approach of some motorists toward ensuring a zero accident in the state.

“We want to commend most of the transport stakeholders in Osun for their behaviour to safe driving on highways. It is a good thing,” she said.

The festival is being organised as the annual sacrifice to the Osun River Goddess, a 600 year-old international heritage.
