AIICO Insurance profit rises by 146% in 2018

Annuity policy holders of AIICO Insurance Plc, have laude the company for its excellent and satisfactory services.

The company’s spokesman, Mr Segun Olalandu, said this in a statement on Saturday in Lagos.

Olalandu said the underwriter marked the 2022 Customer Service Week with the theme: ‘Celebrate Service,’ by visiting some of its customers to appreciate and present gifts to them.

He said some walk-in customers were also engaged in various activities and got some take away gifts.

Reacting, Mr Joseph Igebulem, an annuitant, scored the insurer 99 per in its service delivery, noting that the insurance company had met and surpassed his expectations.

“For the past eight years I have been holding an annuity policy with AIICO, there have been no flaws and as such I have introduced them to my friends in Lagos and Calabar.

“AIICO has met 99 per cent of my expectations in the sense that I get information from them when I need it and my payment is delivered when due.

“I advise everyone and also those on the verge of retirement to go for AIICO because it is reliable for retirement,” he said.

Mrs Udu Ugwumba, a retiree from Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) said she bought AIICO Annuity policy since 2015 and had been enjoying the services of the underwriter since then.

“I bought the AIICO annuity on Nov. 30, 2015 and it has been a smooth ride with the company, as I have never regretted it.

“I was attracted by the name, American International Insurance Company (AIICO) and, indeed, it has been a good company ever since,” said Ugwumba.

She added that she had confidence in AIICO because it was reliable, that she had recommended the insurer to many people.

“When I lost my mother in 2016, I had little or nothing for my own contribution, I had to run to AIICO and they helped, giving me upfront payment.

“Even after burying my mother, I applied for quarterly payment of my annuity, AIICO did it for me and then I applied again for monthly payment; they started paying me monthly again.

“So AIICO is a reliable insurance company,” Ugwumba said.

Also, Mrs Okikiade Kunbi, narrated that she retired in December 2020 and joined AIICO insurance in 2022, and since then the company has been paying her annuity regularly on the 13th of every month.

“The one that surprised me most, was before the last festival, they paid me ahead of time. So, AIICO is doing a very good job and should continue, Kunbi said.

Mr Philip Izundu, a retiree of Union Bank of Nigeria, who started the the AIICO Annuity policy in 2013 recounted that his experience had been pleasant.

“The insurer is sensitive enough and has never failed, as they have always paid ahead of time, especially during festive periods.

“Of course, AIICO has met my expectation and without reservation I recommend the firm to those that want to do annuity,” Izundu added.

Mr Babatunde Fajemirokun, Managing Director, AIICO, said the occasion was an opportunity for the firm to amplify its gratitude to its customers for their valued relationship.

“Our customers are the sole reason we are in business and getting better at what we do. Journeying through life with them gives us the most pleasure.

“At AIICO, customer service is not just a department; it is a function that has all employees as stakeholders.

“Our fundamental purpose is to serve them, and we are obsessed with meeting and exceeding their expectations and also look forward to many more years of serving them wholeheartedly,” Fajemirokun said.

The managing director assured both existing and prospective customers of its unwavering commitment to continue to deliver on its mission of creating the most compelling experience and offering best fit products.
