Authors task readers on better reading culture
Authors in Abuja on Monday urged readers to imbibe better reading culture to improve themselves.
They all expressed their views at the public presentation/launch of the book titled; ”When I got mad at God” written by Pastor Oche Ocheme.
Dr Ejiro Otive-Igbuzor, a Pastor with the Palace of Priests Assembly Area 1 said that the title is strategic.
Otive-Igbuzor advised the author to make the book available in other formats to enable readers access for wide readership.
She said that many readers would even prefer the book in audio form which would invariably command good readership.
“Many people have books in their heads especially unwritten ones,” Otive-Igbuzor said.
She urged them to discipline themselves to break out that talent from their head and turn it into a product.
According to Otive-Igbuzor, the author was expressing the reality of his life, because he had been through a rough path in life.
She noted that as human beings, when things don’t go as expected, people get angry with God.
“One significant thing in life is following your passion to fulfil your destiny.
“The book is the reflection of his personal life which he is now using to help people who are going through frustration not to panic because God will see them through,” she said.
Rev. Dave Ogbole, the Principal Assistant to Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue on Investment urged readers to ensure that they read the book in whichever format to transform their lives.
Ogbole said that the book talked about challenges that are faced by everyone.
“The book is on Amazon stores online. They can go online and get it.
“Because the last time I checked, there were 3.4 billion devices connected to the internet.
“Don’t get mad at God because He is still the one that will help you out,” he advised.
Earlier, the Chairman of the occasion, Mr Benedict Musa, urged everyone to buy and read the book.
The author who is a pastor with the Palace of Priests Assembly, Kabusa, Abuja said that the book was dedicated to every person to alleviate their plights.
It was reported that the book has 12 chapters and 146 pages.
