“I am appealing to the newly promoted officers and marshals to be conscious that the reward for hardwork is more work and to whom much is given, much is expected.

“I am expecting that the new ranks should spur you on to greater productivity,” he said.

SonAllah also used the occasion to call on motorists to always be safety conscious on the highway, saying that the command was committed to zero crash in 2023.

“This promotion is a welcome development and it came at a time everybody had lost hope because, over time, we had been told that there was no vacancy.

”But the new Corps Marshal has done it and the elusive vacancy has been found. With this new rank, it will give me more energy to redouble my commitment and become more dedicated to the corps,” he said.

“The job of FRSC is important to Nigeria because, over time, before the establishment of the corps, Nigerians have experienced a lot of carnage on our roads.
