Putin’s begins State of the Nation Address
Ahead of the first anniversary of the full invasion of Ukraine, Russian President Vladimir Putin began his eagerly awaited State of the Nation address on Tuesday.
Russian state television broadcast the head of the Kremlin’s address at the Gostiny Dvor event centre in Moscow on Tuesday.
He was speaking to the representatives of the Russian Federal Assembly, which is made up of the State Duma and the Federation Council.
According to the Kremlin, Putin planned to address the war he had ordered and the current situation in Russia. He also wanted to comment on the economy and social policy.
Because of the sanctions imposed by the West, the Russian economy is under massive pressure.
