Veteran Nollywood actor, Ojo Arowosafe, popularly known as Fadeyi Oloro, is dead.

The Ekiti State actor, who became well-known in the 1980s and 1990s for playing the infamous villain “Fadeyi Oloro” passed away on Tuesday night following a protracted struggle with a kidney-related illness at age 66.

On an Instagram live session with well-known OAP, Daddy Freeze, the Yoruba movie legend appealed Nigerians for assistance last month after the actor received a six-month eviction notice due to unpaid rent.

Arowosafe’s treatment and other unpaid costs were then covered by a N3 million donation from Nigerian pastor Tobi Adegboyega of Salvation Proclaimers Anointed Church, who is based in the UK.
