Hajj 2023: Agency begins training, enlightenment programme for prospective pilgrims in Kaduna

The Kaduna State Pilgrims Agency, on Thursday began training and enlightenment programme for prospective pilgrims for 2023 Hajj.

It was reported that the Emir of Zazzau, Amb. Ahmad Nuhu Bamalli, also inaugurated Sabon Gari Local Government pilgrims Enlightenment Hall, Gambo Sawaba Secretariat Dogarawa.

Bamalli said training and enlightenment were very necessary because they would guide prospective pilgrims on how to perform the Hajj with out hitches.
He said pilgrims must show more interest on the training and be enlightened to know how to perform the Hajj.

He called on them to avoid any thing that would dent their image and that of the country.

He advised them to check their passports to be sure they correspond with their other travel documents.
He tasked them to take this training and enlightenment programme very serious.

Earlier, the Executive Secretary of the agency, Dr Yusuf Arrigasiyyu, said the programme was to make them to understand how to perform Hajj easily.

He said in the month of February, they organized a committee to find out the competent facilitators that would educate the pilgrims in accordance with the teaching of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

He commended the Council Chairman of Sabon Gari LG, Mr Ibrahim Usman,
for building the new pilgrims hall.
He added that the agency had been allocated 5,982 Hajj seats for Kaduna state pilgrims by the National Hajj Commission (NAHCON).

Our correspondent reports that during the occasion, Nigeria Immigration Service, National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, Customs Service and NAFDAC, among others, where represented at the event.
