Man, 35, arraigned for alleged conspiracy, stealing

A 35-year-old man, Abubakar Abdullamidu, on Tuesday appeared before an Ikeja Magistrate’s Court for alleged conspiracy and stealing of Top Bonds products valued at N4.6 million.

Abdullamidu, a security guard residing at Surulere, Lagos, is being charged with conspiracy, burglary and stealing.

The Prosecutor, Insp. Rapheal Donny, told the court that the defendant committed the offences on Feb. 15 at Ijede Road, Ikorodu, Lagos .

Donny said that Abdullamidu and others now at large, burgled a shop owned by Mrs Adebukola Epidi and stole different types of Top Bonds products.

”They stole 312 pieces of Top Bonds products of different sizes, all valued at N4.6 million,” he said.

The prosecutor said the offences contravened Sections 287, 307, 350 and 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.

The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The Magistrate, Mrs O. A Odubayo, admitted the defendant to bail in the sum of N500,000 with two sureties in like sum.

He adjourned the case until April 26 for mention.
