ODA celebrates President at 70
The Omu-Aran Development Association (ODA) has felicitated with its President, retired Maj.-Gen. Lasisi Abidoye, on his 70th birthday anniversary.
The association in a statement by its spokesman, Mr Olayinka Owolewa, on Saturday, described Abidoye as a visionary leader whose tenure as the president of ODA has witnessed some turnaround in the community.
“On behalf of the Olomu of Omu-Aran, Oba Abdulraheem Oladele Adeoti and the Olomu-in-Council, sons and daughters of Omu-Aran, we want to congratulate you on your 70th birthday anniversary.
“We want to extend our warmest wishes to you on your birthday. We are honoured to have the opportunity to work with such a dedicated and inspiring leader like you.
“Under your guidance, the ODA has achieved incredible successes and made significant strides towards its mission.
“Your unwavering commitment to serving others is an inspiration to us all, and we are grateful for the opportunity to learn from you.
“We hope that your birthday is filled with joy, laughter and love, surrounded by those who mean the most to you. May the year ahead bring you continued success, good health and happiness,” the statement read in part.
Abidoye, a lawyer, businessman and community leader, joined the Nigeria Defence Academy, Kaduna, in 1976 as a member of the 20th Regular Course.
He rose steadily through the ranks and later commanded the Ordinance Corps before his disengagement from the military.
