24-year-old charged with phone theft
A 24-year-old man, Nnamdi Sunday, has appeared before an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court for allegedly stealing a Tecno Camon 19 worth N115,000.
Sunday, whose address is unknown, is facing a count charge of stealing.
He, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The prosecutor, Insp Ajayi Emmanuel, said that the defendant stole the phone from one Mr Azeez Oladele on April 15 at 5:45 p.m.
He said that the offence contravenes Section 287 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.
The Magistrate, Mrs O. I. Raji, admitted the defendant to N50,000 bail and two sureties in like sum.
Raji adjourned the case until May 5 for mention.
