Man, 45, in court for alleged assault, misconduct
Abdulganiu Oyewole, 45, was on Thursday arraigned before an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan for alleged assault.
Oyewole, whose residential address was not provided, was charged with assault and conduct likely to cause breach of peace.
The Prosecutor, Insp Lawal Musibau told the court that the defendant allegedly committed the offence on April 21, at about 11:00 a.m, at Alaga village, Ogbomoso.
Musibau alleged that Oyewole unlawfully assaulted Sanjo Ogunmola, by hitting him with a ranging pole on his right leg.
He alleged that the defendant conducted himself in a manner likely to cause breach of peace, by obstructing Ogunmola as he was carrying out a survey on his site.
He said the offences contravened Sections 516, 351 and 249(d) of the Criminal laws of Oyo State, 2000.
The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The Magistrate, Mrs S. A Adesina granted the defendant bail in the sum of N50, 000 with one surety in like sum.
She adjourned the case until July 25 for hearing.
