Police arrest 72 suspected mobile phone snatchers in Katsina

The Police Command in Katsina State says it has arresting 72 suspected mobile phone snatchers and miscreants, locally known as Kauraye, operating in Katsina, the state capital.

The command’s Public Relations Officer (PPRO), CSP Gambo Isah made the disclosure in a statement on Monday in Katsina.

He said that the suspects were arrested in various locations in Katsina after the command raided their hideouts.

Isah said areas raided during the police operation included Sabuwar Unguwa, Gadar Nayalli, Modoji, Tudun YanLihida and Kwabren Dorawa.

Other area are Janbango, Abattoir, Filin Canada, Lambun Dankwai, Kofar Marusa, Tsalawa, and Chake, among others.

“The Command is extending its appreciation to members of the public for their unflinching support to the Police and other sister security agencies in the state.

“The Command enjoins the public to always report any suspicious person or group to the police through the police emergency lines: 08156977777, 09053872247.”
