The Enugu State Commissioner of Police, CP Ahmed Ammani, has assured Godfrey Okoye University, Enugu, of adequate security.

He also pledged the police’s willingness to continue partnering with the institution in providing security within and around the university and its group of schools, as well as the entire Enugu State.

Ammani stated this on Thursday in Enugu after visiting the various campuses of the institution.

He praised the ingenuity of the Vice Chancellor, Rev. Fr. Christian Anieke, pointing out that his initiatives, policies and actions showed that he, along with his management team, had the interest of the nation at heart.

He reiterated that police were friends of residents and urged the people to report any security breach to them for immediate action.

Earlier, Prof. Anieke lauded the cordial relationship existing between the police and the university and its group of institutions.

He called for continued collaboration for the peace and progress of the state.
