The Kwara Government has commended the state Signage and Advertisement Agency (KWASAA) over the prudent utilisation of the 2022 capital expenditure released to procure posters remover machine and other tools needed by the agency.

The Director of Monitoring and Evaluation from the ministry of Planning and Economic Development, Hajia Mustapha Maimunat, made the commendation during a courtesy visit to the agency.

Mustapha applauded the Director General of the Agency, Mr Olorunshola Omotayo, and his management team for the good performance and advised them to keep up the good job.

According to her, the performance of KWASAA has tremendously impressed the ministry and charged the agency to work harder to further impact the state and the country at large.

“We are moving round Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) for our annual report that is why we are here today, to see everything for ourselves,” she said.

Responding, Omotayo promised to also meet this year’s target, saying the agency has achieved close to 50 per cent of the target for this year.

Omotayo also commended Gov. AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his commitment towards the growth and development of the state.

He appreciated the governor for the release of funds for the purchase of posters remover machine that the agency had been clamouring for in the last 10 years.

Omotayo also requested for the purchase of a Hilux and one other operational vehicle for the smooth running of the agency.

Conducting them round, the agency’s Secretary, Alhaji Ismail Asukuti, said KWASAA is working round the clock to ensure clean and tidy environment that would be devoid of indiscriminate pasting of posters in the state.

The visiting team included the Director of Planning, Research and Statistics, Muhibat Tiamiyu, Kudirat Oyewo, Debora Adewunmi, Maimunat Buhari, Bilqees Koroagba and Mumini Baba.
