The Youth Tourism Development Organisation (YTDO) has announced Mr Frank Meke, a veteran journalist and media consultant, as its ambassador.

Mr Emmanuel Okon, National President, YTDO, said this in a statement in Lagos.

Okon said that the organisation picked Meke as its ambassador in recognition of his remarkable contributions to tourism development through his publications, counsel to the youths as well as his quest to transform the industry.

“The Youth Tourism Development Organisation announces Mr Frank Meke as our ambassador because he has worked tirelessly to reposition the tourism industry over the years.

“This recognition is to spur him to do much more so that the industry can be taken to an enviable height.

“We seize this opportunity to appreciate him for all that he has done for us as an organisation and the industry at large,” he said.

Our correspondent reports that Meke is currently a weekly tourism columnist with the Sun Newspaper.
