Foundation donates educational materials to FCT School
Glory and Praise Foundation (GPF) a non-governmental organisation, on Wednesday, donated computers, reading tables and chairs to Junior Secondary School, Kwaita, Kwali Area Council, FCT.
Mrs Sarah Tukurah, GPF Programme Director said the items would assist the school in the educational development of the community.
Tukurah described education as the bedrock of any society, adding that the donation was the foundation way to give back to the society.
“This is our own way of supporting the students to become better leaders of tomorrow,” she said.
Tukurah said the foundation has an unwavering passion for improving the quality of lives of children and women living in vulnerable conditions.
She said that one of the major drivers of sound and quality education, is a conducive environment for teaching and learning and functional instructional materials.
“This donation is geared toward aiding learning and equipping the students to compete favourably in the digitally advancing world,” she added.
“If God bless us, we will provide more and other couple of things to support other schools because we have been doing a lot of interventions,” she said.
Also speaking, the headmaster of the school, Mr Yunusa Abdullahi, commended the foundation for the donation.
Abdullahi called on individuals, NGOs and governments to support the children with learning materials for better education.
