The Registrar of the University of Ilorin, Mr Mansur Alfanla, has expressed displeasure at the delay in the issuance of transcripts to applicants in the institution, describing it as unacceptable.

Alfanla spoke on Friday, when he visited the Academic Support Service Unit of the institution, charging the staff to change and ensure prompt issuance of transcripts.

He urged them to ensure that transcripts were issued within days of receiving requests, while assuring staff of the needed support to make it happen.

The registrar said that the transcripts play a “vital role in our alumni and students’ academic pursuits and career aspirations”.

Alfanla assured the staff members that the administration was fully committed to maintaining a conducive work environment and supporting their efforts.

He highlighted the Vice Chancellor’s commitment to providing necessary assistance and resources to ensure the smooth functioning of the office.

Alfanla said that the Academic Support Service Office was expected to operate at an optimal level, ensuring efficient transcript issuance and delivering excellent service to students and alumni alike.

He promised that the University would continue to prioritise academic excellence and enhance administrative efficiency.

The registrar said this was part of efforts to reinforce the institution’s commitment to providing the best possible educational experience for all.
