Cross River Gov’s wife donates wheelchairs, crutches to physically challenged
Wife of Cross River Governor, Mrs Eyoanwan Otu, on Tuesday in Calabar, presented wheelchairs and crutches to some physically challenged persons in the state.
During the event, the governor’s wife said that the gesture was in fulfilment of her recent promise to members of the Progressive Disability Advocate.
She said that the six wheelchairs and three crutches were given as her token of support to the physically challenged persons.
”It is our desire to see you live a better quality of life, this gesture is part of our commitment to support you.
”I made a promise to support you. I shall endeavour to meet all your requests as time progresses. I am committed to putting smiles on your faces.
Responding, Mr Offiong Okon, Director-General, Progressives Disability Advocate, expressed the association’s gratitude to the governor’s wife.
She commended her for speedily responding to the requests recently made by members of the association.
”You responded to our requests in less than two weeks. We sincerely appreciate and commend you. May God Almighty bless you abundantly,” he said.
