Governor Seyi Makinde has unveiled a dream team of rescuers, all in the name of the game-changing Sustainable Action for Economic Recovery (SAfER) initiative.

The echoes of this monumental decree have barely subsided – it reverberated from Ibadan on a red-hot Monday, delivered by none other than the Governor’s fiercely dedicated Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Sulaimon Olanrewaju. SAfER isn’t just a phrase; it’s a clarion call to shield the citizens of Oyo State from the aftershocks of vanishing fuel subsidies and the ensuing financial tempest.

Picture this: a league of economic heroes, 15 in number, ready to roll up their sleeves and bring about change. At the helm stands the trailblazing Chief of Staff, Mr. Segun Ogunwuyi. And that’s not all – Prof. Musibau Babatunde, the State Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planning, takes on the mantle of Secretary, steering this dynamic ship towards economic revival.

But the star-studded lineup doesn’t end there – brace yourselves for a parade of power. The Finance Commissioner, the indomitable Mr. Akinola Ojo, takes his place; alongside him, the Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development, the visionary Mr. Olasunkanm Olaleye, strides forward; while the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, the fearless Mr. Segun Olayiwola, adds his strength; and the Commissioner for Information, the charismatic Prince Dotun Oyelade, joins the ranks.

But it doesn’t stop there – this lineup is a powerhouse of determination. The Special Adviser on Labour Matters, the unstoppable Mr. Bayo Titilola-Sodo, adds his might; Chief Bayo Lawal, the unwavering Senior Executive Assistant on General Duties, is ready to serve; and Alhaji Kolawole Gafar, the dynamic Executive Assistant on Finance, Budget, and Economic Planning, brings his expertise to the forefront.

Hold onto your seats, because the cavalry charging forward also includes Rtd CP Sunday Odukoya, the vigilant Executive Assistant, Security. It’s a dream team that’s poised for action.

But this council isn’t just about titles – it’s a united force of purpose. With Miss Ololade Ajibola, the stalwart Senior Special Assistant on Special Duties; the influential Bishop Daniel Oluwajimade, the voice of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN); and the esteemed Alhaji Muniru Ogundipe, the representative of the Muslim Community, this is a symphony of voices determined to bring about change.

But wait, there’s more – the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) is represented by the undaunted Mr. Ademola Babalola, while the Civil Society Organisations (CSOs) are championed by the fearless Mr. Jide Bamgbose.

Governor Makinde’s words are like a rallying cry: “Let the struggles of the masses be your guiding light, and let their challenges fuel your determination.” With this council of heroes, the path to economic revival is set ablaze, and brighter days are just around the corner.

Oyo State, brace yourselves, because history is in the making. With SAfER leading the charge and this assembly of champions at the forefront, the dawn of a new era is upon you.
