APC chieftain congratulates Uzodimma, Ododo

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr Diran Iyantan has congratulated Gov. Hope Uzodimma of Imo over his victory in the Nov. 11 governorship poll.

In a statement on Monday in Abuja, Iyantan also congratulated the governor-elect for Kogi, Mr Usman Ododo.

Iyantan, who was a governorship aspirant in Ondo, urged Uzodimma to see his re-election as a motivation to serve the Imo people better.

He urged Uzodimma to scale up the gears of good governance and quality leadership and consolidate the good works recorded in his first term.

The chieftain urged Ododo to consolidate the remarkable achievements of Gov. Yahaya Bello in Kogi when he take over office.

Iyantan said that the results as announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) reflected the wishes of the people and a direct vote of confidence on the APC administration in the states.

He commended the electoral umpire, voters and other stakeholders for the success of the election.

He expressed optimism that the process would further deepen the nation’s democratic principle where citizens would choose their leaders in an atmosphere of peace and tranquility devoid of violence.

According to him, the outcome of the elections was a vote of confidence on the government of President Bola Tinubu and that the APC.

The chieftain called on the winners to support the Tinubu to achieve its Renewed Hope Agenda for the country.

The APC chieftain advised the winners to extend a hand of fellowship to other candidates who contested with them for the governorship seat, with a view to getting them to contribute to the development of the states.
