God won’t forgive if hope falters, Kukah unleashes divine warning on Tinubu
In a jaw-dropping Christmas message, the Catholic Bishop of Sokoto Diocese, Matthew Kukah, has issued a divine ultimatum to President Bola Tinubu, declaring that neither God nor history will forgive him if he falters in delivering on his promised “renewed hope” for Nigeria.
Addressing Tinubu directly, Bishop Kukah exclaimed, “Congratulations and a happy Christmas. Now, you have what you prayed for, what you dreamt of, what you longed for.” The bishop reminded Tinubu of his two-decade-long struggle for the presidency and the promises of a new Nigeria through restructuring and justice.
With a pointed warning, Kukah stated, “Your future and that of our country is in your hands. M. President, you have no excuses before God or the people of Nigeria. Neither God nor history will forgive you if you fail. This is our moment, our date with history. Now, all eyes and ears are on you. Our prayers for a united country are with you.”
Referencing Tinubu’s “Renewed Hope” agenda, the bishop acknowledged the skepticism of Nigerians, urging the president to reignite hope in a nation disillusioned by corruption and division. Kukah demanded evidence of change, stating, “We are tired of promises and stories. We want evidence we can see and touch.”
In a scathing critique, the bishop called for an end to senseless killings, abductions, and kidnappings, insisting that the sanctity of human life must be restored. He boldly declared, “Mr. President, the killings of Nigerians by whatever name must end and end now.”
Furthermore, Kukah called for a surgical removal of criminals in the public service, describing corruption as their oxygen. He urged Tinubu to cleanse the public service of those who have turned service into an ignoble enterprise.
As Bishop Kukah’s divine warning reverberates, the nation awaits Tinubu’s response and actions, aware that the eyes of both God and history are watching intently. The battle for Nigeria’s future has been declared, and the stakes have never been higher.
