Lawmaker rehabilitates 60 boreholes in Nasarawa
Member representing Akwanga North constituency constituency at the Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Mr Larry Ven-Bawa, says he has rehabilitated 60 boreholes in his constituency in the last six months in office.
This, he said, was to improve on the standard of living of the people of his constituency and others.
Ven-Bawa, who is the Chief Whip of the House, disclosed this while fielding questions from newsmen on Thursday in Akwanga.
He said that he who provides water provides life as human being cannot sustain their lives without water.
“I have rehabilitated 60 boreholes across communities of my constituency, and I spent N6 million to put that boreholes in good shape and to make it function and serve my people well.
“He who provides water, provides life as human being cannot sustain their lives without water,” he said.
Ven-Bawa also disclosed that he has initiated different projects cut across education, agriculture, and empowerment among others for the overall development of his constituency and the state at large.
The lawmaker assured of his continued commitment to bring development to the doorstep of the people of his constituency.
“What I am doing for my constituents is to ensure that they are well catered for.
“It is also to ensure that there is development in my constituency,” he said.
Ven-Bawa solicited for the support of all and sundry to enable him to succeed.
The lawmaker called on the people of the state to support Gov. Abdullahi Sule’s administration to succeed.
“This is to enable all of us enjoy more dividends of democracy.”
