Management of the Lagos State Parks and Garages Administrators (LASPAGA) on Friday dismissed an unverified report circulating in some quarters of the media that it had stopped operating in the state.

Alhaji Olamilekan Amusan, Secretary, LASPAGA, made the clarification at a news conference in Lagos.

Amusan described such reports as “false and misleading”, adding that its members should be wary of those who want to cause violence in the parks and garages.

He stated that the agency under the leadership of Alhaji Suleiman Raji, the Oniba of Iba in Lagos, remained in full operations in line with the regulations of the state government.

“It has become imperative for LASPAGA to clear the air on rumors, misinformation and false claims going around in some media outlets that the operations of the committee have been purportedly terminated.

”We urge our members and operators in all designated parks across the state to disregard the fake news and continue with their lawful operations as the committee remains in full operations in Lagos state.

“We also appeal to our members and operators to ignore any provocation by purveyors of this fake news and their agents,” he said.

According to the Secretary, LASPAGA will remain a law-abiding and peaceful organisation, as well as committed to the welfare and safety of its members across the state.
