Zamfara chapter of Jama’atu Izalatil Bid’a Waiqamatus Sunnah (JIBWIS), has appealed to the state government and security agencies to investigate circumstances leading to the dead of an Islamic Cleric, Mallam Abubakar Mada.

It’s State Chairman, Dr Na’Allah Zurmi made the plea while addressing Newsmen in Gusau on Wednesday.

He said: “We are shocked to receive the news about the dead of our brother and colleague, especially the way and manner he was murdered.”

Zurmi said the sect was looking forward to see what Zamfara state government and the security agencies would do regarding investigation and prosecution of the culprits.

This, according to him, is with a view to ensuring justice to the family of the deceased and JIBWIS.

Zurmi warned followers of sect to desist from taking the law into their hands, assuring that JIBWIS leadership at both state and national levels were doing everything within the ambit of the law to seek redress on the matter.

“We are strongly warning all to desist from any act capable of breaching peace in the state,” he advised.

Also speaking, Mallam Mustapha Dumfa said it was not in the habit Muslim to take law into their hands, “therefore we should all calm dowm and allow legal process to take charge towards administering justice to the matter.”

NEWSVERGE reports that Mallam Abubakar Hassan was picked from his residence by unknown persons on Tuesday evening and was later found dead.
