Cybersafe Foundation, a Lagos based NGO, on Monday sensitised female students of Wellspring College to the importance of inclusive technology and innovation.

NEWSVERGE reports that March is Women’s History Month, a time to recognise and celebrate the contributions of women throughout history; while the International Women’s Day is celebrated on March 8.
Staveley said sensitising the girls to the importance of gender inclusion was necessary to bridge skills gap and acquaint them with the social impact of technology.
She said it would enhance the creativity, innovation and multifaceted problem solving capacity of the girls.
According to her, girls should challenge themselves to be the best in whatever they do, believe in themselves, find passion and become solution providers.
”As a girl you are capable of more than you think and more than the world has seen.
”Stay on a ruthless learning journey and decorate yourself with so much knowledge that your competence and value would be inconceivable.
”Believe in yourself and consistently put in the hard work, leverage the help and resources, internship, bootcamp now available to women,” she said.
According to her, girls should build portfolios to showcase their skills, and not play safe but find a passionate area in tech that suit their desires.
She also encouraged the girls to leverage social media in the right way.
