Fabricare Professionals and Drycleaners Association (FPDA) in collaboration with LG Electronics, is set to promote innovation geared toward enhancing hygiene and well-being.

Mr Hyoung Sub-ji, Managing Director, LG Electronics West African operations, said this at a news conference on Tuesday in Lagos.

Sub-Ji said that promoting cleanliness was a necessity, especially as the world grapples with infectious diseases and environmental pollution challenges.

“Cleanliness and hygiene are fundamental to human health and well-being.

“Promoting cleanliness is not just a matter of convenience. It’s a matter of necessity, and LG is proud to be at the forefront of this effort, offering a range of cutting-edge products that are designed to promote sustainability and efficiency,” he said.

He said that LG and FPDA would hold “The Clean Africa Show” from May 28 to May 29, to drive innovation, foster collaboration, and promote sustainable practices within the laundry sector.

“This event represents a significant milestone in our commitment to empower consumers with innovative and sustainable laundry solutions, such as the LG commercial washing machines, heat pump dryers, top and front load washers, designed to deliver superior performance with reduced energy consumption.

“Together with FPDA, we aim to elevate standards and drive positive change within the Nigerian laundry industry,” he said.

Similarly, Mr Eni Adebayo, President, FPDA and CEO, CleanAce Drycleaners, said the significance of laundry was often overlooked, saying it serves as a cornerstone of daily lives that impact individuals and communities.

Adebayo emphasized that laundry embodies the essence of cleanliness and hygiene; fundamental to well-being.

“We are excited to collaborate with LG Electronics to bring the first-ever Laundry Exhibition Show to Nigeria.

“This event serves as a nexus for industry leaders, innovators, and stakeholders to converge, exchange insights, and showcase the latest advancements in laundry technology and practices,” he said.
