Court remands 3 men for alleged attempted murder of male minor

An Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court in Ibadan on Wednesday ordered the remand of three men at Agodi Correctional facility, for alleged attempted murder of a 14-year old male minor.

The defendants, Adetunji Afeez, 38, Kehinde Salaudeen, 52 and Muritala Ahmed, 55, of Kudeti area, Ibadan, were charged on two-count charge bordering on conspiracy and attempted murder.

The Magistrate, Mrs Olasinmibo Sanusi – Zubair ordered their remand at Agodi pending the issuance of legal advice from the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP).

Sanusi – Zubair, thereafter, adjourned the matter till April 29, for mention.

Earlier, the Police Prosecutor, Insp Oladejo Balogun, told the court that Afeez, Salaudeen and Ahmed allegedly conspired to commit the offence.

Balogun said the three defendants on March 8, at about 7 p.m at Kudeti area, Ibadan, allegedly attempted to murder 14- year old Al-amin Salaudeen, by hitting him with stone on his head, which caused him open injury.

He said the offence contravened section 320 of the Criminal Code Laws of Oyo State 2004.
