The Minister of Steel Development, Prince Shuaibu Audu, has commiserated with a former governor of Kogi State, Ibrahim Idris, over the death of his son, Mohammed Idris.

Audu commiserated with the former governor in a condolence message issued by his Special Assistant on Media, Mrs Lizzy Okoji on Thursday in Abuja.

He described the demise of the eldest son as a monumental loss to society, his community, and the people of Kogi.

NEWVERGE reports that the son died on April 10, 2024, in Abuja shortly after observing Ed-El Fitr Prayers.

He said that the deceased made tremendous impact as a successful businessman, and never failed to preserve the legacies of his father both in the business and political world.

The Minister urged the former governor to take solace in the short but impactful life his son lived, as he was a role model to many young people.

“Mohammed Idris lived a life well spent, although short, and will be remembered for his service to humanity, his people, and society.

“We are grateful to Almighty Allah for the life well spent of the deceased, where he made a visible impact on the lives of people.

“His death is not just a loss to his family, but to the entire Kogi East, the State, and to the many who had the opportunity of crossing paths and interacting with him including myself,” he said.
