Hajj 2024: First batch of 313 Kwara pilgrims depart for Saudi Arabia

The first batch of 313 intending pilgrims from Kwara were on Tuesday transported to Saudi Arabia for the 2024 Hajj pilgrimage.

NEWSVERGE reports that the pilgrims travelled with an Air Peace aircraft from the Ilorin International Airport in company of three officials.

The pilgrims were seen off by the Special Adviser on Special Duties to the governor, Alhaji Rasaq Jida; the state Amirul Hajj, Sen.

Ibrahim Oloriegbe; the Chairman of Kwara Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Prof. Mahmud Jimba; Executive Secretary of the Board, Abdulkadir Abdulsalam; other officials, family members and well-wishers.

The state Amirul Hajj urged the pilgrims to be good ambassadors of the state and guide against violation of rules and regulations of the Saudi government.
