Tragedy: 2 Kwara pilgrims perish in Medina
In a shocking turn of events, the Kwara State Muslim Pilgrims Board has announced the heartbreaking deaths of two of its pilgrims who tragically passed away in the sacred city of Medina, Saudi Arabia.
The devastating news was delivered by the Executive Secretary of the Kwara State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Abdulsalam Abdulkadir, who expressed profound sorrow over the untimely deaths. In his statement, Abdulkadir lamented these grim occurrences, while submitting to the divine decree and infinite wisdom of Allah.
With heavy hearts, the Board extended their deepest condolences to the bereaved families, praying for Allah’s mercy and comfort for the departed souls.
The first victim, Saliu Mohammed, a member of Batch 3 of the state contingent, succumbed to a sudden illness in the intensive care unit of a public hospital in Medina. His passing leaves a void that will be deeply felt.
The second tragic loss, Hajia Hawawu Mohammed from Batch 9, left the community in shock after an investigation by Saudi authorities revealed she took her own life by jumping from the rooftop of her apartment in Medina. This heartbreaking incident has cast a pall over the pilgrimage.
