The Kogi Government has commended President Bola Tinubu for appointing Mr Oluwtosin Ajayi as the new Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS).

In a statement issued by the Information Commissioner, Mr Kingsley Fanwo, Gov. Usman Ododo, said that Ajayi distinguished himself as a man committed to hard work, integrity and competence in the fight against criminality.

He commended the Tinubu for his eagle-eye talent, spotting prowess for rewarding one of the most brilliant security architects in the country with the well deserved appointment.

“Ajayi is an astute crime fighter, intelligence gatherer and processor who will ensure that Nigeria hits the right spots to improve security.

“For years as the State Director of the DSS in Kogi, Ajayi displayed exceptional commitment and knowledge in the area of crime fighting to make the state safe.

“Inspite of bordering 10 other states, the DSS under his leadership in Kogi was able to curtail activities of criminals, earning him an indisputable reputation as a silent achiever whose work is seen more than heard.

“The president has once again, displayed his undisputed quality of spotting exceptional talents and saddling them with the responsibility of making Nigeria a better place for us all.

“With the appointment of Ajayi as the new leader in the Yellow House, we are confident that he will put his experience to bear to cripple criminality and ensure peace in Nigeria.”

He congratulated the new DSS director on his new appointment and wished him the best in his well deserved role.
