Gov. Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State on Tuesday reiterated his administration’s support for women development.

He gave the assurance at the 24th edition of the Committee of Wives of Lagos State Officials (COWLSO) Women Conference.

The two-day event opened on Tuesday on Victoria Island, Lagos State.

The governor praised COWLSO led by his wife, Mrs Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu, for dedication and complementary roles toward actualising women development in the state.

“You have organised a skills development programme for women and for the youth. You have joined in various life-changing interventions in our state.

“These efforts, in my view, reflects a deep understanding of the needs of the community that we serve, and your dedication.

“Your projects have been impactful. You have shown that you can do what people with direct economic background put together, sometimes,” the governor said.

He urged women to continue to equip themselves with skills that would propel them to success.

He said that COWLSO’s initiatives aligned with the broader development agenda of his administration, THEMEs Plus Agenda.

“We are pushing and ensuring that we can improve infrastructure and enhance human capital development, so we can continue to promote an inclusive economic growth,” he said.

“I want to commend the courage and the dedication of COWLSO.

“Its contributions will continue to be a vital force in driving growth,” he said.
