The founder of the Love of Christ Generation Church C&S (Worldwide), Reverend Esther Ajayi, has urged Nigerians to see each other as one and always extend hands of love to the less privileged as the country celebrated its 64th Independence Anniversary.

Ajayi, in a statement signed by her media consultant, Mr Taiwo Olopade, on Monday, was quoted to have said this at the premiere of a movie titled, “Okikiola the Fisherman”.

The premiere held at Love of Christ Generation Church Hall, Oniru in Victoria Island, Lagos.

Ajayi, however, said that building a great nation like Nigeria must be a collective responsibility.

According to her, Nigeria still has enormous potential to rewrite its story positively and take strategic role among the comity of nations.

“Our country will be great, we all have a role to play, and we must do so collectively while we continue to pray to God to continue to uphold us together.”

She reiterated commitment to continue to provide support for hardworking Nigerians like the writer of the movie, Adeola Agoro, adding that the country requires people who are passionate to live its dreams.

“Executing any project in Nigeria is not easy, that’s why I will continue to give my unflinching support to hardworking and focused people like my daughter Adeola.

“I salute her hard work and focus, we need more people to unashamedly pursue their dreams, I pray God will crown all Nigerians honestly working hard,” she said.

She noted that she has no reason not to assist those in need adding that some spirited Nigerians also supported her to reach the limelight today.

Similarly, one of the special guests at the premiere, Sen. Ganiyu Solomon, said it was a delight that Nollywood had come of age and now competes favourably with other similar industries in the world.

“This industry is one of the fastest growing sector, I believe in its potential, I call on other states to emulate Lagos state, the government has consistently given support to the industry.

“This industry has the capacity to employ thousands of youths, which is something we need to tap into. I commend Adeola Agoro for being diligent with her passion,” he said.

The movie is centered on a young brilliant girl trying to navigate her way in life, caught in a love triangle, and how she finds her way to her truth.

The writer of the movie, Agoro, described it as worthwhile experience despite the challenges encountered while on different location with the cast.
