Miss Naija pageant returns for 2nd edition

Samaila Adoyi, Chief Executive Officer of DanHausawa Media Nigeria, has said that preparations are underway for the second edition of the Miss Naija pageant, aimed at empowering young women to showcase their talents.

Adoyi, a music producer and pageant convener, at a press conference in Kaduna on Sunday, revealed that the event would take place in Jos, Plateau State, starting October 19.

He said the pageant sought to inspire, empower, and celebrate womanhood while advocating for gender equality and women’s rights.

He noted that the theme, ‘Happy Woman’, aimed to support and contribute to causes that resonated with the contestants, aligning with the vision of empowering women and making a positive impact on society.

“We believe young Nigerian women can influence society, drive positive change, and inspire others, given the right platform.”

“To participate, contestants must possess looks, passion, intelligence, confidence, and social responsibility.

“The Miss Nigeria position is a job and the title bearer champions causes benefiting society,” Adoyi emphasised.

He recalled that the 2023 maiden event was a success, with Nana Firdousi emerging as the winner and receiving a scholarship to study abroad.

According to him, 2024 contest promises exciting prizes, including: cash prize of N3 million, endorsement deals and a car with a driver.

Adoyi, who said the registration was N15,000, assured that winners would emerge through a fair, standardised, and transparent process.
