Nigeria @64: Speaker seeks renewed commitment for greater Nigeria
The Speaker, Katsina State House of Assembly, Alhaji Nasir Yahaya-Daura, has called for a renewed commitment from all Nigerians towards building a greater country.
The speaker made the call in an independence congratulatory message, signed by Malam Aminu Magaji, his Chief Press Secretary, made available to newsmen in Katsina on Tuesday.
While congratulating Nigerians on the 64th independence anniversary, Yahaya-Daura stressed the importance of unity, resilience, and collective efforts to build a strong, united and indivisible nation.
He said: “Today, we celebrate freedom and the resilient spirit that overcomes challenges and secures triumphs.
“As we commemorate this milestone, we renew our commitment to the ideals of our founding fathers and the promise of a greater Nigeria.”
The speaker reiterated the assembly’s commitment to supporting Gov. Dikko Radda’s ‘Building Your Future’ agenda, focusing on security, agriculture, education, healthcare and economic empowerment.
“We’ve made significant progress in these areas and will continue to work tirelessly to ensure a prosperous Katsina, within a united and progressive Nigeria,” the speaker assured.
He also urged the citizens to embrace patriotism, unity and love for one another, assuring that government was doing its best to bring an end to the lingering insecurity in the state.
